Biography
Vahide Perçin was born in Karşıyaka, Izmir, to a family of Greek immigrants. Perçin, whose father was a truck driver and mother was a housewife, studied graphics in high school, then entered the Faculty of Economics, but her mind was on acting. She entered the Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Faculty Theater Department, where she took the exams. She graduated as the top student of the school at DEU GSF Theater Department, where she received the greatest support from her The Teacher Özdemir Nutku. After graduating from school, she settled in Ankara and entered AST. Later, she accepted the offer of the State Theater and went to Adana.
Vahide Perçin stepped into the television world with the role of Suzan Kozan in the series Bir İstanbul Masalı, which started airing in 2003. The Gördüm family settles in İstanbul. Immediately after that, she appeared before the audience with the role of Fulya in the series Hırsız Polis. In 2006, she shared the lead role with Çetin Tekindor in the film İlk Aşk. Vahide Perçin played the character Zeynep Eğilmez in the series Annem, which aired between 2007-2009. She played the character Zehra Yılmaz as the lead actress in the series The Girl Named Feriha; however, due to health problems, she did not appear in the series after the 3rd season. She played the role of a doctor in a new medical series called Merhaba Hayat, which was an adaptation of the series Private Practice, with Yetkin Dikinciler, Seda Güven, Nihan Büyükağaç, Yasemin Sanino, Melike Güner and Keremcem. This series was removed from the air on January 13, 2013. She portrayed the character of Hürrem Sultan in the Magnificent Century series, starting from the last episode of the third season, due to Meryem Uzerli's departure from the series.
Vahide Perçin married AST actor Altan Gördüm in 1991 and took her husband's surname. Their daughter Alize was born in 1994. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 and received treatment. She separated from her husband in 2013.
