He was born in Istanbul on November 30, 1985. His father is Mehmet Hacıoğlu, a former football player and coach who also played for Fenerbahçe. He started acting in a play when he was in the 5th grade of primary school and continued at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center Theater Department. He also did theater for two seasons. He won the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory Theater Department. However, he dropped out in the first year. He took part in a play called Dokuz Ay Son Gün. He married Vildan Atasever in 2010. The couple divorced on January 21, 2015. He married Duygu Kaya Kumarki on February 5, 2016. The couple has a daughter named Yemin. Kumarki and Hacıoğlu divorced in July 2020.
