Born in 1975 in Germany to a family of Bulgarian immigrants, Ozan Güven graduated from the modern dance department of Mimar Sinan University Istanbul State Conservatory. He took acting classes at the Izmir Municipal Conservatory and then worked at Şahika Tekand's Theater. He starred in television series such as İkinci Bahar, Çiçeği Büyütmek, Koçum Benim, Aslı ile Kerem, Bir İstanbul Masalı, Canım Ailem, Koyu Kırmızı, Muhteşem Yüzyıl and Fi. He starred in the movies G.O.R.A, A.R.O.G, Yahşi Batı, Arif V 216 and Pek Yakında with his close friend Cem Yılmaz.

In 2005, he married director Türkân Derya, whom he met during the TV series İkinci Bahar. The couple, who had a child named Ali Ateş, divorced in 2010.
