Goncagül Sunar, born September 17, 1970 in Istanbul, is a Turkish theater, film and TV series actress and musician.
Known as "Fadime's friend" in the series "Muhtarları Mahallenin Muhtarları" and for her characters "Maid Hayriye" in the series "Asmalı Konak" and "Singer Canan" in the series "Çemberimde Gül Oya", Sunar started her career in 1991 with Şahika Tekand and the Studio Players troupe. She had her first acting experience in front of the camera with the series Mahallenin Muhtarları. She worked with Çağan Irmak and starred in movies and TV series. The artist, who composes songs with Turkish lyrics and prepares an album in the folk-rock genre with an effective voice suitable for the songs, also works on guitar. Most recently, Sunar played the character of "Rukiye Elmastaş" in the TV series Yol Arkadaşım, which aired on Kanal D in 2008. In an interview for her role as "Canan" in the TV series Çemberimde Gül Oya, which she played between 2004-2005 and aired on Kanal D, Sunar said, "No matter what I play from now on, Canan Cansev's place in Çemberimde Gül Oya is completely different for me.
