Biography
Born on June 13, 1958 in Ankara, Füsun Demirel went to Italy to study after high school when she was only 18 years old. Demirel learned Italian in her first year in 1976 and then studied theater and acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome. He began his professional stage career in 1980 at the Collective Theater in Berlin under the direction of Vasif Gören. In 1982, after returning to Turkey, he worked in Dostlar, Devekuşu and Dormen theater companies. While continuing his theater acting career on stage, he stepped into cinema in 1984. In addition to his award-winning acting, the experienced actor, who has appeared in front of the camera in more than 80 projects in his career from past to present, has translated many plays from Italian into Turkish, including the works of Dario Fo and Franca Rame. Füsun Demirel is fluent in English and German as well as Italian and her translated works were published by her own publishing house.
