She studied at Mimar Sinan University Theater Department. During her primary school years, she studied ballet and cello at the conservatory. Ayda Aksel, who did voice-overs in commercials, worked as a permanent employee of the General Directorate of State Theaters for 15 years. Later, she worked at the Sadri Alışık Theater and gave lectures at "Dialogue".
Ayda Aksel was married twice. Her first marriage was to Halûk Semi Yüngül, a civil engineer. She divorced in 1993. Her second marriage was to electrical technician Atilla Akıncıoğlu. Her husband Mr. Atilla died in 2010. She has a daughter named Leyla from her first husband and a son named Efe from her second husband.
