He was born on May 22, 1970 in Mersin. He spent his Abandoned and youth in Adana and Mersin. After completing his primary and secondary education in Adana and high school in Mersin, he graduated from Mersin University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts, Department of Theater. Later, he started his acting career in Istanbul.

He played the main roles in the television series Ihlamurlar Altında, Yaprak Dökümü, Kurtlar Vadisi and Keşanlı Ali Destanı. In 2010, he played the leading role in the movie Saç, which won awards at national and international film festivals. He was awarded the best supporting actor award at the 23rd Ankara International Film Festival for his performance in the movie Aşk ve Devrim, which was released in 2012.
