He was born in 1963 in Eskişehir. He graduated from the Theater Department of Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory in 1987. In the same year, he worked as a permanent artist at Trabzon State Theater.

The artist, who has been acting and directing at the Istanbul State Theater since the 1991-1992 season, worked with Hitoshi Uyama, the chief director of the New Tokyo State Stage in 2010. He took part in the founding staff of the conservatories of Haliç University and Okan University. In 2016-2017, he completed his master's degree in Theater Department of Haliç University. In the 2018-2019 theater season, he served as the director of Istanbul State Theater.

Apart from his theater works, the artist, who has been acting in movies and TV series since 1997, also does voice-over work.
