He was born in Çanakkale on September 18, 1981. He completed his primary and secondary education in Edirne. While taking a theater course at the Edirne Public Education Center, he started acting at the Edirne Art Theater. He moved to Istanbul in 1999 and received one year of acting training from a private institution called Dialog, then graduated from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory in 2005.
